Rue is a favorite of mine. It is highly protective against evil and black works. It is used in various cleansing rituals and baths, some of which are featured in the Lilith's Seventh's store. It's scientific name is Ruta graveolens and is also known as the Herb of Grace. Rue is to not be consumed internally as it can cause gastric discomfort and other complications. Some people are found to be allergic to its oil.
Rue is a very powerful herb to use against the Evil Eye. It will turn the red eye blue and break any hexes or crosses present.
Ritual hint: To break and banish a hex placed on you, I recommend that a bath be taken with Rue. To get the best result with this herb, lightly boil Rue for 9 minutes. strain the water and let cool. You want to take this water along with a empty container to the tub with you. Pour the water over your head, letting some fall into the empty container which you have placed below you. While doing this you are imaging the evil leaving from you, you are imaging you luck turning good and banishing any other blocks that may have come upon you.
Take this caught water and throw it towards the sunrise while saying a meaningful and relevant psalm. Turn your back to the water thrown and go to clean your tub with sea salt.
Peace & Blessings
